The recording of the minimum and maximum values permits you to recognize immediately whether your transducer has been overloaded. The above mentioned and further monitoring functions (e.g. temperature recording, self diagnosis, saving of calibration data) allow you to have a closer look into the sensor at any time - and thus ensure the quality of your measurements.
